Nomzamo Mbatha to present Earthshot prize in Singapore

South African superstar Nomzamo Mbatha is making more global waves. This time, she’s set to present an award at the Earthshot Prize ceremony taking place in Singapore.

Mbatha has not only established herself as a leading actress in the local and international scene, but she has also proven herself to be an impactful humanitarian. She has worked closely with the United Nations on programs that improve the lives of Africans and in 2019 was named as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. Her social work has helped her grow her brand even further and now she’s been chosen to be a presenter at the Earthshot Prize event in Singapore taking place on the 7th of November.

NOMZAMO MBATHA TO RECOGNISE SUSTAINABLE ACTIVISTS
If you’ve never heard of it before, the Earthshot Prize is an annual award that is given to five remarkable humans across the globe. The Earthshot Prize recognises activists who have contributed to environmentalism and sustainable development and has been running since 2021. Each of the five winners will walk away with £1 million to further continue their sustainable work.

Nomzamo Mbatha will be one of this year’s presenters and will be handing an award to this year’s African recipient. Multichoice Group, which has partnered with Earthshot globally, proudly announced her involvement at this year’s ceremony.

The Group wrote on X, “An honourable mention to the incredible Nomzamo Mbatha, who will be shining on the global stage at the Earthshot Prize award ceremony! Her dedication to a sustainable future is an inspiration to us all. Let’s celebrate her impact on our planet!”

ANOTHER GLOBAL GIG FOR MBATHA
Nomzamo Mbatha’s star continues to rise in all the right ways. The actress and presenter has just finished hosting her hugely successful Most Fascinating Dinner series both in New York and South Africa. She has also worked on blockbuster films including Amazon Prime’s Coming 2 America.

Closer to home, she famously starred in Mzansi Magic’s blockbuster series, Shaka Ilembe, where she portrayed Queen Nandi, Shaka’s mother. The hugely popular historical drama has been renewed for a second season and fans are eager to see Nomzamo Mbatha reprising her role in the upcoming season.

Until then, all eyes will be on the big stage in Singapore where Nomzamo Mbatha will be flying our nation’s flag proudly at the Earthshot Prize ceremony.
