Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela has revealed that Nomzamo Mbatha and Sthandiwe Kgoroge are set to join the cast of Ishaka ILembe. Kgoroge will play the role of Queen Mthaniya whilst Nomzamo plays Queen Nandi. The producer for the series Teboho Mahlatsi has clarified that the series is not a reincarnation of the 1980s Shaka Zulu. It’s a project that aims to showcase the lives of the Zulu nation leading up to the rise of Shaka.

What to expect from the series

As aforementioned it has been in production for a long time, this means the cast, storyline and scenes are going to be very interesting. It’s not a documentary, you are going to be very entertained, educated with great conspiracies and drama. Senzo Radebe will play the role of the chief – Senzakhona. It will aire on any of the Mnet channels or Mzansi Magic (hasn’t been confirmed as of yet).
