Thandeka Zulu (born November 25, 1991) is a Zulu South African actress and musician best known for her performance in the telenovela Uzalo as Nombuso. She played Pearl in the e.tv drama series The girl is mine and appeared in the film Kwaito Church Service 2.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thandeka Zulu grew up singing and dancing in a little township named Hambanathi near Tongaat in the northern city of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. She completed her secondary education at Nkosibomvu Secondary School in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal.

She joined the Durban-based music ensemble Afrosoul in 2012, which was founded in the year 2000. Thandeka followed up her debut in AfroSoul with roles in the films Kwaito Church Service 2 (2013) and Pearl on the eTV drama series The girl is mine. With her role of Nombuso in the South African telenovela Uzalo, she had a significant impact in the country. Thandeka Zulu (Nombuso) was fired from Uzalo after being accused of having a foul attitude at work.
