Disgraced Celebrity doctor, Dr Nandipha no longer deserves a passport. This is according to home affairs minister, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi. The minister says Home Affairs has revoked the passport of Dr Nandipha Magudumana. This comes after she was found in possession in Tanzania of her passport and two of Dr Mmereka Ntshani’s ‘Dr Pashy’ passports. “She no longer deserves it”, Motsoaledi said during a media briefing on Monday. This means Dr Nandipha is never going to travel outside the borders of SA ever again.

“We revoked Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s passport because it is required by law through the Identification Act, that if a person is being deported and has been brought back into the country at the expense of the state, then we have a right to revoke their ID/passport”, Motsoaledi added.

Responding to Dr Nandipha’s application to have her arrest in Tanzania declared unlawful, Motsoaledi said the department is challenging her lawyers claiming she was abducted. “We at the Home Affairs don’t arrest people but we only went in Tanzania to bring them back. Arresting people is not our job. We don’t know ourselves as Home Affairs abducting anybody in Tanzania. The deportation from that country was above board”, Motsoaledi said. The minister added that Dr Nandipha Magudumana and Thabo Bester were declared prohibited immigrants in terms of the immigration laws of Tanzania and were therefore, as a matter of law, liable to be deported back to the country of origin.
