But the onscreen romance between Lindiwe Ngema and Nhlamulo Maseko on Scandal piqued the interest of many eTV series fans.Because of their on-set chemistry, some fans have come to think that the two actors are real-life lovers.Nomvelo Makhanya and Matthews Rantsoma, the two actors, stated a few months ago, before Lindiwe exited the show, that they are not involved in real life.The Lindiwe and Nhlamulo actors revealed that even though they are comfortable with each other, they are very strict about maintaining professional boundaries when shooting romance scenes.

“It’s been very interesting. It’s been an amazing journey. The most difficult scenes are always the intimate ones because we always have to have a conversation about whether we are OK with me going so far. It has to be a conversation so that we don’t overstep in the name of playing a role. My difficulty has always been playing intimate scenes throughout my career, they need special attention.”

Playing the character Lindiwe, her journey began as a high school student in the Ngema household in Soweto. She made her way through a life filled with trials and tribulations, where she became the owner of a club and married Nhlamulo.

Lindiwe became pregnant with Nhlamulo’s child, fulfilling the couple’s desire. Lindiwe, on the other hand, began to feel unusually poorly and discovered that she had a chronic ailment.

As her condition deteriorated, she was forced to choose between saving her baby and having an abortion to protect her own survival. Lindiwe decided that after everything she had been through, she would take the chance of keeping her kid and fight until the finish.
