JESSICA MOTAUNG’S FAILED ENGAGEMENT
In 2011, SowetanLIVE reported that Motaung (who was 37 at the time) was engaged to American producer Ken Simmons II.

However, according to the publication, their seperation that year played out like an ugly soccer match as Simmons accused Motaung of cheating on him with with Kaizer Chiefs employee Thato Matuka.

The former couple shares twin boys named Donald and Kenneth Simmons III who were born in 2006.

Whilst Donald is the musical twin, according to Motaung’s interview with Kaizer Chiefs in 2017, Kenneth is athletic.

Motaung told The Glamour Boys that Kenneth loves basketball. However, the Motaung football genes also run in his blood. His maternal grandfather is described as an impressive footballer as he played for Orlando Pirates and Atlanta Chiefs back in his days before establishing Amakhosi.

In addition, his uncle, Kaizer Jr Motaung, was a striker for English Premier League (EPL) club Chelsea and Kaizer Chiefs.

According to IOL, Kenneth – who is described as a deadly striker – is following in their footsteps as he currently plays for the Chiefs’ U-17 team; winning the provincial Gauteng Development League title last year.

IDiski Times reported tgat Motaung wanted her son to start his football journey away from the pressure of playing for the club his famous grandfather has founded.

“He’s always under pressure and I didn’t want him to play for Chiefs. He didn’t play for Chiefs for years.

“He started his career at Wanderers Warriors who have done an amazing job and I must thank those people who laid the foundation, but at the same time I understand that he is a wonderful player and he must be doing his work.

“That’s the important thing for me, but he is under a lot of pressure. I want him to enjoy it and do his work. It’s not about me, it’s about him,” she said.
