‘ONCE IN A LIFETIME’: STEVIE WONDER WITHOUT HIS GLASSES

, Stevie Wonder was born six weeks premature. He was said to have been put in an incubator to give his organs more time to develop.

Unfortunately, he reportedly received too much oxygen in the incubator, which resulted in him getting an eye disorder called retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), which was said to have been caused by an abnormal blood vessel throughout his retina.

The renowned musician stole millions of fans’ hearts on numerous stages with hits such as Isn’t She Lovely, I Just Called To Say I Love You, Part-Time Lover, and more.

However, fans rarely see Stevie Wonder without his signature black glasses, and some of them have never seen his eyes at all.

When a picture of the blind musician was shared on Twitter recently, several fans took to the comment section and shared what they thought about his eyes after seeing them for the first time.

Wow, that’s crazy. I’ve never seen his face before. Literally, my whole life… coulda sworn he was born with those glasses on,” @miraceleeannee wrote.

“He can’t see this, and I’m not sure why we needed to either 😂,” @FakePearBear said.

“Once in a lifetime talent who persevered against the greatest odds,” @KevinSoxx13 commented.

“Love that man. He’s an amazing human. He looks pretty good with or without glasses,” @bydelek said.

“Stevie has seen more in his Mind’s Eye than most of us will physically see in our lifetime. Just listen to his body of work,” @UncleCattu said.
