In response to reports that she is leaving the television drama series, Durban Gen, Nelisiwe Sibiya, who plays Dr. Mbali Mthethwa, has clarified the situation.
Sibiya hosted a Q&A session with her followers on her official Instagram page on Monday.
If it was true that she was leaving Durban Gen because she was ill, a worried fan inquired. This is in response to a report that suggested the Dr. Mbali Mthethwa actress was leaving Durban General.
Nelisiwe Sibiya clarified the facts about her role in Durban Gen in her response to the query. She declared that because the television drama series is her everything, she would never leave it.
Sibiya said:
“I think the caption of the article was a bit misleading because it makes it sound like “I left the show” which will never happen! DG @durbangen_etv is my every[thing].”
Nelisiwe Sibiya went on to explain what had happened, stating that she had left the Durban Gen set and gone home because she was too ill. She claimed she was too ill to work because she was unable to speak.
Sibiya provided an update on her health and stated that she had recovered sufficiently to go back to work. She stated:
“To those who saw the article and got confused let me make it clear. I left the set and went back home because I was too sick and couldn’t speak, but now I [am] back to my happy home and it’s amazing like always.”
