Nelisiwe Faith Sibiya is popular South African actress and singer . she was born 13th of September, 1992 in Johannesburg, South Africa. She grew up with her sister and mother. Her father was shot dead in front of her when she was about 8 years old. They lived with their uncle and aunt, but left after she and her sister were sexually assaulted. In January 2015, she enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology to study music research. She then received a scholarship for the remaining two years. Her mother died before she could graduating in 2016.

Her mother came from a family of singers. With the help of her sister Nelisiwe, she started her singing career. After her sister’s death, she joins her high school choir. During this time in choir she received choral and classical training. She had her first major playing song in 2018 during the Lockdown prison series with the title track “Mama Ka Bafana”. Then in 2020 she was invited to play the lead role of “Dr Mbali Mthethwa” on e.tv. The medical drama telenovela Durban Gen. For her role she won the 2021 Zikomo Award for best actress in Africa.
