Rapper Nadia Nakia, who was dating fellow rapper AKA at the time of his passing, has now paid tribute to the “Fella in Versace” hitmaker on social media. A memorial service for the music legend, who was shot and killed on February 10 outside the Wish on Florida restaurant in Durban, was held on February 17 at the Sandton Convention Center.

She went on to write that she finds it difficult to even breathe, let alone find the right words to express her love for the reader. “I’m going to greatly miss all the memorable occasions we’ve shared. This aches so bad! I find it difficult to accept the reality that I’ll never hear you tell me you love me or laugh. We had an agenda.

Nakai said that she was doubting God and that she was unsure of how she would survive without AKA.

“The pain of losing you is the worst kind of pain. I now realize that you were the one who spent the rest of your life with me; I had imagined that I would spend the rest of my life with you. I don’t understand why things take place the way they do, but right now I’m questioning God. Why would he gather us here and then take you away? I simply don’t comprehend. Going on with my life without you is something I just can’t imagine doing.
