Nadia Nakai spoke about grieving AKA in a new interview

Nadia Nakai has spoken candidly about the death of boyfriend, rapper AKA, claiming “the devil” was behind his murder.

The female hitmaker was interviewed by the US blog The Shade Room about grieving her partner’s death and possibly moving forward with her life.

 

 

 

 

In February, AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes – and friend Tebello Tibz Motsoane were shot dead by masked gunmen in Durban.

No arrests have been madeSpeaking to The Shade Room, Nadia Nakai was asked if she was open to moving on from AKA.

She said: “I don’t think so. I feel like I’ve found the love of my life, and the devil took him, and honestly, when I look around… when I go into these clubs, and I go into these spaces, and I look at the men that are around he was, like, the last of a dying breed for me.

She continued: “I feel like guys right now are not about chivalry. They’re not about being the man in the relationship. They are not about leading their household. They are not about that stuff anymore”While Nadia has seemingly sworn off love, she did reveal her desire to have children.

She said: “I just don’t see how. I would love to have my own family set up. I’m alone a lot of the time. When I’m at home, I’m by myself. I live alone. It’s just me and my dog. And, if I am not working, I am at home. So, it’s, like, I would love to come home to, like, a situation. You know? But I don’t see that happening.”

‘NO BIGGER PAIN THAN LOSING YOU’
In an Instagram post just days after his death, Nadia Nakai shared her grief for AKA.

She posted: “There is no pain bigger than the pain of losing you. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with you. I realise you’re the one who spent the rest of your life with me.Nadia Nakai and AKA started dating in late 2021, months after the death of the latter’s fiance, Nelli Tembe.

Before the Mass Country hitmaker, Nadia previously dated Bandile Mbere, one-half of Major League DJz. She’s also had a public relationship with US rapper Vic Mensa.
