Nadia Nakai Kandava is a recognized South African _Zimbabwean rapper and television personality. She is professionally known by her stage name as Nadia Nakai. She was born on 18th May 1990 to a South African father and Zimbabwean mother and raised in a loving and secure environment. She is talented and embracing woman who is living her life to the fullest.

She attended her secondary education at Fourways High School, Johannesburg and later moved to Kenya to complete her studies. She has also studied Marketing Communication and Media Studies at Monash University.

She started her career in the early 2000’s and she drew inspiration from celebrated Kenyan female rapper Nazizi Hirji. She released her single “Like Me “under Sid Records, an independent record label in 2013. She has collaborated with major artists like Ice Prince, Gemini Major, Stefflon Don and late RickyRick and many more. She is intelligent and independent woman who knows what she wants in her life and she is gifted. She released two more songs before signing with Cassper Nyovest label” Family Tree “”. He helped her to drop her biggest hit titled Naa Mean in 2017. She has hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards red carpet in 2018.

She has also appeared on the Netflix reality show titled Young, Famous and African in 2022 , the show featires other African acts including Khanyi Mbau, The Boss Lady and many more. She is one of the most influential people in the country and she is very passionate about her profession. She inspires young humans out there to work hard to peruse their goals.
