Nadia Nakai has opened up about how she is struggling to come to terms with the death of AKA

Nadia Nakai has said that she is having a hard time dealing with the death of her boyfriend, the rapper AKA.

On Friday, February 10, Kiernan Forbes was shot and killed outside of a popular restaurant in Durban. After the rapper died, he was remembered with a public memorial and buried in a private ceremony.

Since then, his family has put out the album Mass Country, which he recorded just before he died.

“This pain is just too much to bear,” Nakai wrote next to a video collage of herself and AKA. “Everyone says I’ll have to learn to deal with it.” I just don’t believe it. Every day, it just gets worse. “I’m not sure how to handle this.”

“It’s not enough to say that it hurts to describe how much it hurts. This hole will never be filled in my heart. People get hurt, and when they do, their partner helps them get through it. How do I deal with my sadness over the death of my partner? I have lost the person who was supposed to help me. Kiernan, I miss you so much.

The video has clips from the couple’s first and last public interviews together, which they did for an insert for The Insider SA.

The episode aired a few days after AKA’s death, and the couple talked openly about their first date, who was more romantic, and what their matching tattoos meant.

Lynn Forbes, AKA’s mother, recently wrote a tribute to Nakai on social media. In it, she thanked her for how much she loved and cared for her son.

She typed: “You taught him what real love and respect are, and you helped him be the best he could be.” Kiernan was born with love, raised with love, and gave love to many people. All he wanted in return was to be loved and respected in the same way. You gave him that, and he died with love all around him.
