What did we just see?

The celebrity fight between Cassper Nyovest and Naaq MusiQ lived up to its expectations.

Both musicians meant business as early as the first round as they traded leather – pound for pound.

The crowd cheered on Mufasa but Naaq MusiQ proved just why the underdog always goes for the kill.

Upsetting the applecart is always the penultimate goal of the underdog. Cassper Nyovest had previously fought Slik Talk in a one sided affair and in Naaq MusiQ he met his match.

The atmosphere was electric and the mood was captivating. The highlight of the evening was probably the double knock down in the fourth round. Both Naaq MusiQ and Cassper

And of course DJ Tira dancing on the sidelines. DJ was dramatic on the sidelines. He reminded many of Chelsea mentor Thomas Tuchel.

 

 

 
Naak MusiQ became the boxing version of reigning Comrades Marathon champion Gerda Steyn. He smiled through out the match. Steyn is well known in the sporting world as the athlete who smiles through out a race.

The celebrities chose the most difficult sport there is to entertain – boxing.

It reminded many of the money spinning bouts of Floyd Mayweather. Perhaps Celeb City is heading that way.

Award winning Rapper Big Zulu of the Imali Enengi fame stepped into the ring looking for a challenger.

One thing for sure – South African boxing is being revived by these celebrity fights.
