It has been months since Pebetsi Matlaila took a break from television screens and keeping viewer’s entertained Monday until Friday at 6:30 pm.
 

 

 

Pebetsi, who plays the character of Mokgadi on Skeemsaam has returned to the show and started shooting for upcoming scenes after leaving the show to give birth and raise her child that she recently gave birth to.

Matlaila left the show when a lot was happening in her life as Mokgadi. Her son, Noah was arrested for burning The Nut factory that left many loosing their lives including his friend’s mother.

Mokgadi was also going through separation and divorce with her husband on the show being Leeto Maputla when she left Skeemsaam. She had even lost her dream house that she and her ex-husband Leeto built after getting married.

Mokgadi on Skeemsaam was not in a perfect marriage. She went through a lot while being married to Leeto Maputla from the beginning when her husband was shot on the day that they tied a knot.

Things got worse when she started keeping secrets from her husband while making decisions with her mother, Mary Matloga being her mother risking to loose her marriage and all of it. That was not all, Pebetsi also had to suffer from everyday criticisms from her mother-in-law, Meikie who did not love her.

Pebetsi Matlaila leaving Skeemsaam was pregnant and successful gave birth but it was not an easy journey as the actress went through a lot while expecting. Matlaila had pre-eclampsia being a disease that targets pregnant women and it almost resulted to her and her baby’s death.

According to TimesLive, Matlaila together with her second child being a daughter were brought back to life from complications of Pre-eclampsia.
