On Uzalo, SABC 1’s most-watched soapie, Noxolo Mathula plays Police Officer Lily Dongwe, and fellow actor Nkanyiso Makhanya, who plays Njeza, sparks dating rumors after a weekend beach outing.

Noxolo Mathula stunned Uzalo fans by posting weekend photos on social media in a stunning blue beach outfit. Despite the fact that the setting appeared to be a public gathering, social media detectives dug deeper and discovered Njeza was behind the camera, sparking dating rumors.
 

 

 

Onscreen, the two live as cousins with Nonka and their aunt MaDongwe. As a cop, Lily is sometimes forced to compromise herself in order to protect Njeza.

Njeza is currently in an abusive relationship with Nosipho in a Gender-Based Violence storyline. His family is opposed to their relationship, believing that the couple is unsuitable for each other and must divorce.

Concerning the GBV storyline, Nkanyiso thanks Stained Glass Productions, the producers of Uzalo, for giving him the opportunity to educate on a widespread issue.
