Mzansi is touched by Makhadzi’s documentary

What people didnt know about Makhadzi is that before she made it to our TV’s and media, she released 7 albums. After releasing 7 albums she kept on pushing until she made it to the mainstream.

This was mentioned In her documentary that played on CNN on African Voices changemakers channel 404. She also talked about growing up in Limpopo, Venda without money. She showed a dusty long road and announced that she want to show the world where it all started and the road she used to walk barefoot to go to Town to promote her music because she didn’t have money for transport.

She also said she would go and sing at the taxi rank in town just to get people to hear her songs. She finally got hired by this other group there and after they recorded 7 albums for her she finally met Master KG and that’s how her professional career started.

She also talked about how Master KG encouraged her to change her genre and push hard. He also told her to continue singing in Venda and just be herself.

Mzansi was touched by this documentary and made her trend once again. They are saying things like “Makhadzi released about 7 albums before she made it to the mainstream! Persistence, it wont happen overnight but eventually your breakthrough will come. Do mistakes, fall and dust yourself up & grind again.”

And “Makhadzi the sky is the limit. Her humbleness will always put her on the top. Super talented and yet so humble”.
