Mzansi in tears as Gospel star Rebecca Malope gets honoured with a life-size statue

Social Media user shared that South African gospel icon Rebecca Malope was gifted with a statue in her image in Mpumalanga recently to honour her for her tribute in the music industry, which had other online users divided in the comment section in regards to what they thought of the statue.


 

 

 

 

 

 

According to Kaya FM, the Queen of Gospel was honoured at the Gospel Music Festival at Bears Palace last weekend.

The award-winning gospel singer was celebrated for her incredible musical influence in the gospel music genre.

She is said to have contributed 35 years of her life to the music industry.

When her life-size statue was unveiled, to her surprise, Malope fell on the floor and had to have been held up by several members of the congregation.
