Mzansi angry as woman copies Babes Wodumo dancing at Mampintsha’s memorial.

Several users on the internet have expressed their annoyance after watching a video of a woman pretending to be Babes Wodumo at the memorial service for Mampitsha that was conducted the previous week.

The video was uploaded to Twitter by @kulanicool after Babes honored the memories of her late husband by celebrating his musical legacy at the memorial service he attended.

Since then, an unidentified woman has capitalized on the opportunity to record a video of herself dancing to the song Ngeke while imitating Babes and wearing clothing that is strikingly similar to Babes’s. The woman also holds a doll in a manner that is reminiscent of Babes and Mampitsha’s son, Sponge.

The video was not funny to a lot of South African internet users because they believed the woman in it was disrespectful and was trying to get attention online by exploiting Babes’ death. The Twitter user @chaungeni provided the following response: “South Africans do not deserve the Internet.” The commenter @Nonhlanhla002 said, “It is an embarrassment to be a member of the human race. I hope and pray that they have a difficult journey through life.

@MiyaSimly said: “Akuhlekisi disgrace.” @198Nozie replied: “Lokhu akuhlekisi abantu abathanda ukutrender nange kaka.”

The user @MBilocamble wrote: “That’s why I always believe the majority of black folks have a problem with mental illness. Particularly this younger generation” @IamSiya la made the following observation on the people of South Africa: “Mzansi do not deserve load shedding; they deserve internet shedding.”
