On friday the 10th of february music icon Kiernan Forbes (AKA) was murdered outside a popular restaurant on Florida road in Durban. The musician was meant to perform at the YuGo club in the area but never got the chance too. A memorial service was held for Kiernan on friday the 17th of february and he was laid to rest on saturday at a private funeral service in Johannesburg.

 

 

 

Don Design who’s real name is Tshediso Mokoko posted a moving tribute to the rapper on his instagram page. He wrote ” my heart is shattered over AKA’s death, i am indebted to you for believing in me when i didn’t even believe in myself. Thank you for showing me the true meaning of brotherhood. He went on to encourage the Forbes family and Nadia Nakai that prayer was their only ray of hope. Don wishes to meet with Kiernan someday in the heavens.
