Muvhango: Susan drugs Azwindini and punishes him for everything he put her through

Azwindini must be founder of the man’s conference. When he hurts Susan, he makes sure that he leaves no stone unturned. He has definitely dedicated his life to hurting her and only going back to her when his life is in shambles.

As it stands now, the storyline shows Azwindini choosing yet another woman over Susan. Why? Because he knows that she will always take him back after all his gallivanting.

He asked Susan for divorce to move on with Gugu. This comes after he refused to allow her to divorce him after his failed shenanigans with a slay queen; showing a high level of disrespect and double standards from Azwindini.

Susan was left humiliated after it was publicly declared that her husband was chasing the woman that her child was also fighting so desperately to have. To avenge for herself, she decided to drug him and give him a beating of his life. This left a feeling of satisfaction as most felt that Azwindini deserved to be beaten up by Susan after years of mistreating her.

As much as Susan is right to feel betrayed and vengeful, I feel that the directors and writers did a sloppy job of giving Susan her power back. For her to be reduced to a violent wife who drugs her husband because he doesn’t want her anymore, was a terrible attempt of vengeance. The writers should have allowed Susan to walk away and rebuild her life away from Azwindini. Yes she would deal with the heartbreak, but still rebuild and come out victorious.
