Here are the talented musicians we have sadly lost this year.

Tina Turner

The American singer became popular in the 1960s as she was singing with her husband Ike Turner. The two separated in the 1970s and Tina had a solo career until her death. She died of natural causes at her home in Switzerland, her family confirmed. The legendary singer died at the age of 83 in Kösnach near Zurich from a long unspecified illness.

 

 

 

 

AKA

The South African rapper tragically lost his life earlier this year after he was shot on his head in Durban. Police are still searching for his killers.

Costa Tich

The 28-year-old rapper died after appearing to collapse on stage during a music festival performance.

Gloria Bosman

Gloria was a multiple award-winning South African jazz vocalist, composer and teacher.She sadly died on March following a short illness, her family announced.
