She has finally agreed to go out on a lunch date with him this was after when when Mr smeg asked gigi lamayne if she could go out with him on a lunch date.

They were asking if the two are having an affair because they could not just wake up and be telling that they are going out on a lunch date while there is nothing that is happening between them.
