The Wife actor Mondli Makhoba has broadened his entrepreneurial horizons. He posted on Instagram that he will be launching his clothing range called Bhut’Omdala. Mondli plays Nkosana Zulu, the eldest brother of the Zulu brothers, on the Showmax series The Wife. Fans called him Bhut’Omdala as he portrays the eldest brother.
His clothing line will be available for purchase online and in-store at the mall of Africa. His line also exclusively produces male hats for grown and mature men. Most people initially assumed the clothing line would have formal pants and bright shirts suitable for office wear and events. Mondli, however, announced he is selling hats.
Fan guesses
Before announcing the Bhu’Omdala clothing line, he asked his fans to guess what was in a particular box. Some fans assumed it was a gift for his lady. Some of his fans and followers thought it was a gift he received from someone. One fan got it right and said it was a hat.

A fitting name for the brand
Some names in the soapie and telenovela industry don’t fade away. For instance, the old Generations cast uses their old character names. Fans call the actress Mbalenhle Hlomu and fans call Modli Bhut’Omdala. The Wife is a production as impactful as that.
Bhut’Omdala is fitting for the brand as hats are a symbol of respectful, mature men. Hats separate men from boys. When there are lobola negotiations, men wear those hats.
