The latest episode of Mnakwethu saw some debate on social media. This followed MaShamase telling MaChiliza where to get off.

MaChiliza is quite hellbent on becoming MaShamase’s sister wife but MaShamase feels that she is doing quite well as a wife, and does not need anyone helping her out with anything.

 

 

 

More than anything she feels that she has built a home for her husband and kids and should not have to share that with another woman, even if that woman has been a side-piece of 8 years.

On the sit-down with Linda Sibiya, MaShamase used an analogy of a company car. She said that as much as you can drive a company car around and flex it to people, you know very well that it does not belong to you, no matter how long you drive it.

She said unless her husband has plans of divorcing her and marrying MaChiliza, she will not agree on MaChiliza coming into the marriage as a second wife.

Again, MaChiliza was told to get educated by MaShamase. To this, she said nothing. This then led to a lot of comments saying that MaChiliza will be leeching off MaShamase and that she should instead focus on herself and get herself R350 from Ramaphosa.

I think this is a very complex conversation because why did this man bring in another woman into the relationship? Why is MaChiliza not active in ensuring that her life is progressive like the wife she wants to come after in the marriage? For the most part, her lack of education is being used against her by people.
