Former ‘Generations’ stars Menzi Ngubane, Sophie Lichaba, Sonia Mbele and Katlego Danke have reunited in a new television show.

Sophie Lichaba (also known as Sophie Ndaba), Sonia Mbele, Katlego Danke and Menzi Ngubane were very popular some years ago for the roles they played on the defunct soapie Generations. Some of their fans were not happy when they were not included in Generations: The Legacy, which currently airs on SABC1. The four stars’ fans will get another chance to see their faves in one TV show. They have reunited for a new series titled Family Secrets. The new programme will make its debut on Sunday, 6 September. The news was shared by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela on social media. Mphela wrote: “Casting news: Sophie Ndaba, Sonia Mbele, Katlego Danke & Menzi Ngubane in new series. Former Generations stars have reunited for a new series, Family Secrets. The show premieres Sunday, September 6th on SABC1 at 19h30.” Tweeps have shared mixed reactions to Phil’s post. Some of them are excited that the stars have reunited while others expressed that they are tired of the same faces on their small screens. @Brenda_Black_ commented: “Lol this will be amazing… They should bring Khaphela too.” @Lipra_LM wrote: “Hai no Kgopolo, sikhathele (we’re tired).
