The legendary singer and entertainer is a loving mother to four sons. Since all of Yvonne’s children were born in the 1980s and 1990s, they are all adults now. Their lives have progressed to the point where Yvonne is now a grandma. Her daughter Ningi Mhinga is the product of her relationship with South African club diva, songwriter, and singer Tamara Dey, whose music has been instrumental in bridging gaps across generations, racial lines, and cultural boundaries. Tamara and Ningi, who had been together for some time, finally had a child in 2017. Despite this, the two were no longer together. The singer filed a child support lawsuit against the child’s father, demanding R4.5 million. Ningi Mhinga, Lalabella’s father, filed a case for child support in the Randburg District Court, asking that he be ordered to pay R20,000 per month. The couple has reconciled and is doing a great job as co-parents.
