Meet the mother of Cyril Ramaphosa’s first born from Venda

Hope Ramaphosa, Cyril’s first wife, and he wed in the early 1970s, long before he became wealthy and powerful. This fact was only recently revealed. To the general public, his marriage to Tshepo Motsepe represents the sum total of his fame. Cyril Ramaphosa was married to his first fiancee, Hope Ramaposa, before rising to popularity as one of the nation’s richest politicians and becoming the country’s fourth black president.


 

 

 

 

According to publicly available records, they tied the knot in 1972. But in the late 1980s they separated and eventually divorced. Andile Ramaphosa, the sole child of the marriage at the time of the divorce, was the primary caretaker of the couple’s assets. Cyril Ramaphosa opted to marry into the Motsepe family in 1996, right after he had divorced his first wife.

Hope Ramaphosa is a prominent businesswoman in her home province of Venda, and she runs a wide variety of enterprises in South Africa.

Hope was the first first lady to win her husband over completely. Despite their separation, Hope still supports the president when people try to bring him into a fight. Hope Ramaphosa still loves her son’s father, Andile, even though she and her ex-partner are no longer together.

Although Hope has achieved financial success on her own, the president reportedly continues to provide financial support for her. Hope Ramaphosa loved her ex-husband deeply, even after they separated, because he was the father of her kid.
