Sjava, better known by his stage name Jabulani Hadebe, is a hip-hop artist and rapper from South Africa. He made his debut in the film uGugu no Andile, which was released in 2005, playing a supporting role (2009).
His reputation on television skyrocketed in the three years that followed his breakout performance in Zone 14, which was the lead role in the show. Sjava has just received his very first recording deal, which was awarded to him by Ambitiouz Entertainment.
After the release of “Amani” in 2015, this was the year when he broke through. Sjava released his first studio album, titled Isina Muva, in 2010, and it featured an unusual mix of afrobeat, hip-hop, and modern R&B. Umqhele, his second studio album, was released in 2018 and received praise from music critics.
The incorporation of African themes and the extension of Umqhele’s hybrid style have both contributed to the enhancement of the artist’s renown on a global scale. In 2018, Sjava released his debut EP, Umphako.
