Here’s a list of four ZAlebs who’ve been mistaken for Pearl Thusi:
When Cape Town actress, Danica Jones briefly appeared on Generations The Legacy to play a bisexual character named Tamryn, tweeps took to Twitter to find out if she’s somehow related to Thusi or if she’s Thusi herself.
When Jones got several DM’s from Thusi’s fans, she cleared up the misunderstanding in a 14 second video on twitter:
TV host, Phumeza Mdabe has also been mistaken to Thusi when she first appeared on our screens several years ago to host Our Perfect Wedding. Mdabe currently hosts a new show called, Abandoned on mzansi magic where she connects adults who were abandoned as children to reconnect with their parents.
Another actress who’s been mistaken for Thusi is Angela Sithole who played the role of Onica on The Queen. She also played the role of Terry on Zabalaza and played a lesbian called Zano on Lithapho.
Model, actress and masters student Qiniso Van Damme resembles Thusi the most on this list. When she was announced as “The Bachelorette South Africa”, Thusi’s fans immediately DM’d her on social media as they noticed that she resembles Queen Sono actress Pearl Thusi.
