Meet Pearl Thusi, Another Stunning Queen Of Mzansi

Thusi is a lovely lady from the KwaNdengezi and Hammarsdale townships in Durban. She has two younger sisters. Pinetown Girls’ High School was her alma mater. She enrolled in the University of the Witwatersrand, but dropped out to focus on her career. But, while still in South Africa, she returned to university.

Thusi is the host of MTV’s Lip Sync Battle Africa as well as EbonyLife TV’s Moments discussion show. Thusi also co-starred as Dr. Nandi Montabu in Tremors 5: Bloodlines, a famous SABC 3 soap serial. She also starred in a music video by Emtee called “Pearl Thusi” back in 2015, as I recall.

Thusi has been on numerous television shows.

In the drama film Kalushi, Thusi played Brenda Riviera.

Thusi took over as the new host of MTV Base’s Behind the Story for the third season in 2018.

Thusi was cast in the lead role of Queen Sono on the Netflix criminal drama series Queen Sono the same year.

The series launched on February 28, 2020, to widespread acclaim from critics, with Thusi’s acting receiving special attention.

Netflix renewed the series for a second season in April 2020. However, Netflix announced on November 26, 2020 that the series has been canceled due to production issues caused by the COVID-19 epidemic. She will co-host the 1st KZN Entertainment Awards with Somizi Mhlongo on December 15, 2020.

Thusi is one of many beautiful and cute ladies in South Africa; she’s quite attractive and stunning in any costume she wears, especially when she’s on the red carpet.
