Knowledge Musona is without a doubt one the greatest strikers Zimbabwe has ever produced in the past decade. Musona, a product of the Aces Youth Soccer Academy in his native country made his professional debut with Kaizer Chiefs in 2009.

During his time with Chiefs he earned the nickname “The Smiling Assassin” as he was a thorn in the opposition’s defence.

In his debut season, he was primarily used as a substitute but scored crucial goals for his team. The 2010/11 season proved to be his breakthrough season as he went to score 15 goals in 28 matches, winning the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award. In that season he was also voted as the Rookie of the Year at the PSL awards.

Following his impressive run he attracted the attention of top teams in Europe. He would later join 1899 Hoffenheim. During his time with the team he had consecutive loan spells with Augsburg and Kazier Chiefs. In 2015 he went to join Oostende FC on a three year deal. The spell proved to be his most successful abroad, making over one hundred appearances and scoring 35 goals.

In 2018 Musona joined German side Anderlecht. He has since been sent on two consecutive loan spell with Loreken and Eupen. The “Smiling Assassin” is currently on loan with the latter. Musona currently serves as the captain of the Zimbabwe national team after making his debut in 2010. He has since received 42 caps and scoring 23 goals.

Outside of football the renowned football is married to the beautiful Diasy Rutendo Takundwa. The pair tied the knot at Forest Rain Tree in a lavish wedding.

Their union has since been blessed with a beautiful daughter. Their daughter was also a flower girl during their wedding ceremony. The couple recently celebrated their 5th year wedding anniversary on May this year.

In 2019 Daisy obtained her teaching qualification and knowledge Musona was quick to congratulate her, referring to her as his ambassador. According to information obtained Daisy would one day love to travel to South America. Being a wife of a successful footballer it is not known whether Daisy does use her teaching qualification.

Unlike many footballing couples, the pair barely flaunt their love on social media. The two have decided to keep their marriage private.
