However, he keeps details of himself and the rest of his family private. Dabula once gushed over his son, Kitso, in an interview where he revealed how intelligent he is and how much he makes him a proud father.

He said, “Kitso brings so much joy to me when I think that I’m responsible for raising such an intelligent boy. I want him to be confident in who he is and be humble because people who are confident and humble are often kind. He must also have self-respect, as a lot of positive things spring from that.”

The actor confessed that he never saw the role of Gadaffi as a lifelong role, he always knew he would leave one day. Vuyo Dabula mentioned that he was sceptical about being part of the soap from the beginning. According to him, he knew the kinda of performances and styles that he liked what was needed by the soapie, that’s when he noticed that he wasn’t going to be on the show for too long. It was a calcuted measure he needed to take one way or the other.

Vuyu Dabula agreed that he would miss the role of Gadaffi and Generations and it helped expose him to a lot of opportunities. Dabula is also a renowned model who has worked with many organizations across South Africa. He is also a famous bodybuilder and a fitness coach.
