Nokuthula is an actress based in South Africa. She became a household name when she bagged the role in Rhythm City and The River. Since then, Ledwaba has managed to reinvent herself by the different characters she portrays.

 

 

 

 

 

The talented actress was nominated for a Golden Horn Award in the category Best Supporting Actress. Multi-award winner Nokuthula initiated her career at the age of 19 with children’s and educational theatre productions.

Nokuthula Ledwaba age
The latter was born in Soweto’s Mofolo area. Her mother, Grace Vilakazi-Ledwaba gave birth to her at a very young age and her father passed on when her mother was still expectant. That is close to thirty-eight years ago. Therefore, Nokuthula Ledwaba’s age is 38 years old as of 2021.

Early Life
Ledwaba was born in Mofolo, Soweto, and grew up in Soshanguve, North of Pretoria, knowing that she was a Ledwaba. Her mother, who had children at a young age, struggled to raise them on her own, so Nokuthula was raised by her mother’s aunt. Her mother was pregnant with her when her father died 33 years ago and she knew little about her father’s family, until recently.

Career
She began her career at the age of nineteen where she did a lot of children’s and educational theatre productions that toured South Africa and the UK. Her first role was in the show Wild Child Lu. Then she acted in the popular television serials Rhythm City in 2007 where she played the popular role of ‘Tshidi Khuse’. In 2009, she was nominated as the Best Supporting Actress during the 3rd South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs).

In the e.tv drama series Umlilo, she plays Dumile, a city girl born and reared in Soweto who is the second wife in a polygamous marriage. Prior to her television assignments, Tshidi toured South Africa and the United Kingdom with a number of children’s and educational theatre plays.

Separation With Senzo
Unfortunately, they parted ways in 2012 yet, the reasons for the separation are concealed to date.

This separation took a toll on Zenzo as which he stopped showing up at work. Nokuthula is the mother of two children, Lewatle and Sheddy. However, the biological father of the children is unknown at the moment.

Nokuthula Ledwaba partner
The latter is currently a mother of two. She welcomed her second bundle of joy a few months ago. She, however, does not give details about the father of her children even though she mentions that her partner has been very supportive in helping her raise her first kid. She is also vocal on matters regarding families and highlights on the importance of being in a closely knitted family. She is never shy to give her story and how she suffered from teenage rejection and growing up with insecurities regarding her identity.

The latter is the mother of two adorable babies. She got her firstborn baby: Lewatle, six years ago and her second baby, whom she calls Sheddy, in 2019. Days after she had given birth to her second bundle of joy, she took it to her Twitter account to post: “We went and made a carbon copy ya Lewatle. The joke’s on us. #SheddysHome”
