Society’s double standards are a problem. There are certain people whom the society accepts and others don’t. Thick women have been fighting for space in the society for a very long time. It is sad that even today they are still body shamed. What’s worse is that women are the ones that do the body shaming.

 

 

 

 

Lamiez Holworthy became a subject of body shaming when she shared pictures wearing shorts. She’s one of the women that know who they are and is extremely proud of herself. It’s a good thing that she didn’t let them dim her light.

She walked for local designer MaXhosa on his runway. She even changed her signature hairstyle. She has shared pictures reflecting on her moment. “Just under a week ago,I got to not only walk for @maxhosa but I walked as their SHOWSTOPPER. Me? With my big thighs and arms,me amongst real super models.”

When it is your time no one can say no. We are happy they saw her for what she’s worth.
