Masoja Josiah Msiza is a South African actor, poet and musician. He is best known for portraying “Nkunzi Mhlongo” in the award-winning telenovela Uzalo.

Msiza was born in Kwa-Thema, a township in the South African province of Gauteng. His love for acting started when he was 9 years old and he enjoyed participating in art and drama classes. Bio
Masoja Msiza is a South African actor, poet and musician best known for
his role as Bhodlimpi on the Mzansi Magic soap opera isiBaya, first appearing in Season 2.
He is also known for his recurring role as Welcome on the e.tv drama series Umlilo.
The star has been raised in Ndebele . He grew up in Kwa Thema
township, springs east of Joburg. Growing up, he was exposed to different languages, and he taught himself Zulu.
He has appeared in numerous television series including Jozi Streets,
Mtunzini.com, Scandal!, Isidingo, A Place Called Home, Sokhulu & Partners, Shreds and Dreams, Intersexions, Rhythm City, iNkaba,

Zabalaza, Ya Lla and Mfolozi Street.
His film credits include A Million Colours, Zama Zama, The Saints and Kalushi. Theatre credits include Voice from Kilimanjaro, Antigone,
amaWashas Asegoli, Once Were Free and Biko: Where the Soul Resides.
Masoja began his career as a poet and later became a stage and
television actor, musician and storyteller. He is the brains behind the
Lentswe Poetry Project spots on SABC2 and has published two
collections of poetry entitled The Voice of Hope and Avalon.
He also wrote and performed promo poems for Ukhozi FM and for
Bafana Bafana during the 2004 AFCON tournament in Tunisia.
In 2016 he landed his first starring role in television in the e.tv
telenovela Ring of Lies, playing the role of Mandla, a boxing manager
who discovers a young fighter on the dusty streets of Limpopo.
