On Saturday, December 3, insults and fists flew at the Goduka Music Festival.
Thibela Mpungose, Khuzani Mpungose’s dancer, and Mshovo Gazu, Mthandeni Manqele’s dancer, got into a fight on Facebook.
Mshovo requested that Thibela set a date and time so that they could resolve their problems.
Thibela stated, You must arrive in Mai Mai by noon. I’ll swallow you and ensure that you vanish for twelve hours.”
The dancers met on Saturday at the festival, where an ugly fight started.
Ring leader Thibela can be seen hitting and pushing Mthandeni’s dancers in a video.
Thibela stated, “My fight with Mshovo has been going on for some time now.”
He claimed that he had recently challenged him to a fight, but that he was too afraid to fight, so he attacked him at the event.
“With my fellow dancers, I approached him and pushed him around. However, as a coward, he jumped into Mthandeni’s vehicle. “Thibela stated, “I could have dragged him out of the car, but Khuzani stopped the fight.”
Mshovo claimed that Thibela and his crew pursued him as he prepared to perform.
“They had other weapons and firearms. I was with different artists so they went after us all. We did not respond because we considered the fans and the event’s organizer. Otherwise, it might have turned bloody,” Mshovo stated.
Mshovo stated that he would not file a lawsuit.
He stated, “I will sort it out myself.”
Mthandeni said that he saw Thibela and his crew attacking his dancers while he was inside the car.
Khuzani stated, I blame Mthandeni for failing to put an end to the fight, regardless of who or what started it. He was supposed to stop the vehicle by jumping out of it. Additionally, I blame him for permitting the incident to be recorded on video. Because it promotes violence, the fans weren’t supposed to see it. Fortunately, I got in and put an end to the fight.
