Since the first episode of DiepCity, Nox played by Nozuko Ncayiyana has been receiving hatred from her mother; MaShenge played by Dawn Thandeka king. She treats her like she never gave birth to her, even after all the effort she made to make her mother realise that she’s sorry for her brother’s death who was never even killed by her. MaShenge seems to be forgetting that Sbu died because of her, she shouldn’t had sent him to look for Nox where she was, he wasn’t gonna be shot.

The past few months, MaShenge had been not around, the day she came back Nox was uncomfortable because she had a thought that her mother was still angry at her. Well, she suprised everyone when she was so nice to her, little did she know that it was for temporary. MaShenge went back to her normal state of hating Nox and blaming her for Sbu’s death.

On last night’s episode; 07 October 2021, left viewers amazed after Nox asked her mother why on earth is she hating her so much. MaShenge cried and revealed to Nox that she is actually not a problem, a problem is her father who abused and ditched her when she was pregnant with Nox, and that resulted to hatred towards Nox. This is new to Nox, all along she thought Bonga is her biological father, whereas he is not. The question that we are asking ourselves now is ‘does Bonga know about it or not’.
