The Idols South Africa judge took to social media this morning and penned down an emotional piece to his late mom who passed away just two months before she could turn 80 on this day.

In the birthday shoutout, Somizi shared a video of his mom during her last moments in hospital alongside her close friend Lilian Dube, who is also in the same industry as a television actress.

The video shows Mary Twala in a hospital bed in good spirits together with Lillian Dube. The duo can be heard planning a little celebration on the 20th and deciding on what outfits they were going to wear. “Don’t tell me it’s a surprise baby.
