Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva first crossed paths during casting for a production of Wole Soyinka’s novel Jero’s transformation at the National Theater. They have been inseparable ever since, and one of their most famous appearances was in the classic film Twins of the Rainforest, in which they played an expectant couple who are shocked to learn that the woman is giving birth to twins. The locals have a long-held tradition of executing newborn twins by drowning them.
