Zola Hashatsi has rubbished claims that Shauwn Mkhize also known as MamKhize has donated one million rands to him. The struggling artist set the record straight by saying that the millionaire businesswoman did nothing but cook for him.
It was rumoured that the Royal AM owner had given the veteran kwaito singer one million rands something he has denied in a tweet dated 15 March.
The rumours looked more valid when City Press confirmed the R1 million donation to Zola by uMamKhize this past Sunday. Zola and MamKhize met on Thursday when the boss lady visited the fallen artist.
“Through Royal AM FC, they said they will wire R1 million into the account. The transfer was set to be done on Friday or Saturday morning. It was discussed on Thursday when they met with him,” said a source to the publication.
The source also confirmed that the donation was going to be made via her club, Royal AM FC.
“The pledge is through her soccer club, which is obviously her, but officially the donation comes from Royal AM,” said the source.
Siki Kunene, Zola’s personal assistant, denied all this donation talk to TshisaLive. Zola has promised to create jobs in the country once he recovers as he knows that there is high unemployment rate.
“I will make a plan for a lot of you. I know that there is a problem with jobs in this country, just give me a little bit of a chance to recover … I’m coming with the hustle this year. I’m going to try to help you, I’ve got all the right people,” he said.
Zola also revealed the reason that brought MamKhize to him which has nothing to do withmoney.
“Thanks to all the MEC’s and MaMkhize … MaMkhize didn’t do anything to me. MaMkhize just wanted to cook for me and for me to meet her son and we stayed there the whole day. By the way, she’s doing something amazing … you’re going to see very soon,” he continued.
