Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema was left heartbroken by the news that Matshela Koko’s mother-in-law was brutally murdered on Christmas Eve.

The former Eskom executive, Matshela Koko revealed that when his mother in law did not show up for Christmas lunch as expected, they got worried. He said they sent someone to go and check what was wrong with her.

 

 

 
Upon arrival to check up on her, it was discovered that the mother-in-law was brutally murdered. Matshela Koko said they are shattered as this is not the news they were anticipating to hear on Christmas day.

“My mother-in-law did not pitch up this morning, as expected, for Christmas lunch. We sent our uncle to check up on her and only to find her brutally murdered by the burglars. We are shuttered. Not the Christmas we wished for,” said Matshela Koko.

He said they believe she was brutally murdered by the burglars who gained access inside the house. Julius Malema who is one of those who reacted to this news, was left heartbroken by what happened to Koko’s mother-in-law before Christmas.

Another EFF heavyweight, Godrich Gardee said he wishes the Matshela Koko family strength to deal with this tragedy of losing a loved one in such a manner. Festive season is a time to enjoy with family and friends, but several people were in tears after losing their relatives.

“May God help you go through this tragedy…..,” Godrich Gardee said.

Public Protector, advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane also sends her condolences to the Matshela family. She said this is a terrible incident, and no one deserves to go through this kind of pain.
