Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has spoken about the death of the late Riky Rick and said the rapper should have spoken out instead of allegedly taking his own life, though the exact cause of his death was not disclosed by the rapper’s family, rumour has it that Riky Rick took his own life.
Malema recently spoke to talked on Metro FM, he said he proffered not to attend funerals of people who take their own life while he also encouraged those who are suffering from mental health problems to seek help and speak to a professional.
“I believe that Riky Rick could have spoken to us, because if we resort to that, then our children will no longer speak to us. We’ll just wake up in the morning committed suicide. You must speak. We’ve been through a lot. Personally, myself, I have gone through a lot and I’ve never thought of suicide as a solution”. Malema said.
The 34-year-old award-winning rapper died earlier this on 23 February.
Details of his untimely death are still foggy but reports said the rapper allegedly took his own life at his home in North of Johannesburg.
Several sources who are used to close to the rapper claimed that Riky Rick hung himself with a rope after he suffered from severe depression.
The rapper’s management team allegedly found Riky Rick hanging and they rushed him to the nearby hospital as he was still alive when they found him.
