On tonight’s episode, there was a celebration of Mpilo’s 18th birthday. Mpilo stays with Makhumalo, who is Musa Mseleku’s 3rd wife. Her biological mother is not married to Mseleku, and is not in the picture.

 

 

 

Someone pulled out Makhumalo’s age from Google after Thobile (Makhumalo) mentioned that she has been married for 14 years. She was born in 1989, meaning she is 32 years old this year, which also means that she was 18 years old by the time she got married. The level of maturity is what is making it hard for people to believe her age.

During her speech at Mpilo’s birthday celebration, Makhumalo mentioned that Mpilo was only was only 7 years old when she met her. Which is why she feels like her real mother because she has raised her since.

She says she consulted both families to raise the child as her own. She also mentioned that Mpilo feels like her daughter. Some viewers wondered where Mpilo’s biological mother is, and why she was not at the party. Some said the party turned into Makhumalo’s Thanksgiving, as it became about her being a good mother to Mpilo.
