The characters on the series include Leleti Khumalo, Raphael Griffiths, Thembi Mtshali and Muzi Mathabela among many others.

The television series was mainly about a secret that was kept by the Bhengu family about the infertility of their son. The son Zimele Bhengu married to Nokubonga Zulu was infertile so the mother in law Mandlovu decided to let her other son Shongololo to impregnate her daughter in law Mazulu for the sake of her son who is infertile.

The secret was later revealed and Zimele was made aware that the children he thought were his are not.

As the show went by we were introduced to new characters Nkululeko and Thokozile mother and son who came to our screens and shaked things up. It was revealed that Nkululeko is Zimele’s biological son. Thokozile began with her obsession with Zimele reminding MaZulu that she was loved by Zimele.

Viewers of the series understood that Nkululeko is Zimele’s son and warned up to the idea of the fact that Nkululeko is the only seed (Imbewu) that Zimele had. As soon as the two had a father and son relationship, Thokozile killed Zimele. It was then discovered that Zimele had left his inheritance on Nkululeko and left nothing for his wife Mazulu.

During the funeral that was held for Zimele a mystery girl showed up and viewers had thought she was one of Ngcolosi’s girlfriends. She later explained that she had never met the man but the man had paid for tuition and she is grateful so she wanted to pay her last respects. Fast forward the Fikile started working for Zimele’s company Maluju oil and got into a relationship with Nkululeko.

It was recently revealed that Fikile is also Zimele’s daughter. She could not bare and handle the news because she was in a relationship with Nkululeko. She drowned herself.

Now viewers are confused as to how come all of a sudden Ngcolosi can bare his own children. What exactly happened for him to not be able to bare children with his wife.

The show introduced new characters such as Makhosazana played by former Scandal Actress Lusanda Mbane who also plays a villan on Imbewu.

Viewers started concluding that she might also at a later stage discover that she is Ngcolosi’s daughter.
