Limpopoen artist, Makhadzi who gained recognition after releasing her smash hit song, Matorokisi, which graduated from dominating the province to the country, has now reached over 3million views on her song, Murahu on YouTube at the time of publishing this story…
A fan wrote: “Makhadzi’s Matorokisi is a very dangerous song, one minute I was cleaning, the next thing I am on top of the table twerking … yoh, dangerous … Haka Matorokisi … next thing my hands are on the floor and my butt is in the air.”Her songs were reloaded on YouTube in November after her former manager, Rita Dee deleted the songs.
The energetic dancer and singer tweeted: “Aa wee…thank you very much for the support guys. Murahu music video on 3m views. Zwanda Zwanda!”
Makhadzi shocked her fans when she took to social media to open up about her fruitless relationship with her former manager Rita Dee Nephawe on the the 29th of November.She alleged that Rita Dee has not paid her royalties from her debut album titled Matorokisi.
The Murahu hitmaker tweeted: “The only thing I did was to ask my money from my ex manager for my previous album matorokisi and money for my royalties, wt she did was to claim my money and delete all my video from Ytube inclusing riyanvenda 10million views and matorokisi 8millionviews. I didn’t get a cent from my album.”
The musician’s former manager, Rita has hit back at Makhadzi’s claims by hitting her with a defamation of character lawsuit.
Acoording to Rita, she herself has not received any payment for Makhadzi’s YouTube videos. The music videos for Matorokisi and Riya Venda which gained close to 20 million views on YouTube before she removed them.
The former manager told another publication that Makhadzi should speak to Open Mic Productions about her royalties in connection with her Matorokisi album.
The former manager who apparently got lawyers to cover her defamation case, got her lawyers to give Makhadzi legal papers as she intends to sue her for her tweets. She also confirmed that she deleted Makhadzi’s music videos from YouTube on Saturday morning, 28 November “after she sent threats on Facebook”.
When Makhadzi tweeted angrily last year about her former manager’s mistreatment towards her, she was encouraged by her followers to get legal help. She eventually got a reply from Tumi Sole who is currently assisting her with regards to her former manager.
