A love triangle involving singer Makhadzi, Vhavenda Princess Masindi Mphephu, and businessman Lawrence Mulaudzi has been making headlines. The situation unfolded when Mulaudzi invited Makhadzi to perform, unaware of the connection between the Venda sensation and the princess.
As the event progressed, it became apparent that they were both involved with Mulaudzi, leading to a tense and emotional situation. According to a source, the princess initially enjoyed Makhadzi’s music but soon discovered that her boyfriend had been two-timing her.
The situation escalated, and Makhadzi and her dancers were asked to leave the venue to prevent further conflict. Despite the circumstances, Makhadzi reportedly handled the situation with grace and left the party. Another insider, who was also present at the event, claimed that Makhadzi seemed unaware of her partner’s involvement with the princess.
This love triangle mirrors a previous incident involving Gqom singer and reality TV star Babes Wodumo, who accused Makhadzi of pursuing her husband, Mampintsha, earlier in 2021. Makhadzi dismissed the allegations, considering them a publicity stunt and expressing doubt that the husband of the “girl from Durban” could satisfy her. Regarding the recent situation, the princess’s spokesperson, Vho Mashudu Muvhangona, stated that they were aware of the rumors but dismissed them as false.
Muvhangona emphasized that they do not involve themselves in the princess’s personal relationships, as those matters remain her own prerogative. They may only offer advice if invited to do so. When asked about Makhadzi potentially performing for the royal family in the future, Muvhangona revealed that Makhadzi had previously offered her services free of charge, and they are grateful for her gesture.
