The Mseleku family has been on our screens for the longest time and their tenure has resulted in the unfortunate spin off, Mnakwethu.
The family is clearly goal orientated and the goal seems to be national domination.
Phil Mphela has broken fresh news about yet another show just days after MaKhumalo was announced as part of The Real Housewives of Durban. The four wives are going to have a show on SABC 1 and the reaction to it was very mixed but it’s still coming in February.
Phil Mphela wrote, “CASTING NEWS: Mseleku Wives to host talk show
Polygamist Musa Mseleku’s wives have scored their own talk show on SABC1.
MaCele, MaYeni, MaKhumalo and MaNgwabe will co-host a 13-part talk show called Igumbi Lamakhosikazi
Starts in February. #KgopoloReports”
Social Media Opinion
The reactions about the post varied, some acknowledged the business savvy nature of the family. They’ve found their niche and are capitalizing greatly on that. They will be milking the cash cow that is reality television for a long while. But other felt like there was too much overexposure and wanted more variety.
One user wrote, “One thing this man is doing right is opening doors for his wives.”
While another wrote, “Wow. Mseleku has really put his wives in hey. They’re celebs and now talkshow hosts because of him.”
On the other hand, others felt like enough was enough, “Uthando Nesithembu, Real Housewives and now this… The Mseleku’s are coming for everything 😒”
And another person simply wrote, “This [is] overexposure”
Personal Thoughts
The Mseleku family has been controversial to me only because of their husband. He is someone I struggle to fathom and get used to. But whenever his wives are not with him they vibes are absolutely immaculate. They are more at ease, they get alone and give great content. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of show this will be and how they’ll format it
