Lynn Forbes, the mother of the slain rapper AKA – real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was comforted by her son’s fans and her social media followers after taking to Instagram and sharing a throwback video of the Sim Dope hitmaker jamming out with his daughter, Kairo.
AKA was shot and killed in public on 10 February in Florida, Durban alongside his long-term friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane. Their murderer has not yet been arrested even after she/he was seen in a leaked CCTV footage pulling the trigger at close range on the duo before taking off and disappearing into the night.
Minister of Police, Bheki Cele recently opened up about the murder investigation during a media briefing in Boksburg earlier this month and urged the public for their patience in the matter, Jacaranda FM reported. This comes after revealing that he is close to cracking the case.

“We found the cars that were used to attack and withdraw, we found the gun, we’ve identified those people… The fact that those cars that dropped these guys off and picked them up, and the gun has been found to be the proper gun ballistically – I think we are very much on course with that case of AKA,” Cele was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, AKA’s mother has unfortunately been mourning the death of her son for the past eight months. She recently posted an old video of the Run Jozi hitmaker with his eight-year-old daughter spending quality time together which tugged on the rapper’s fans and her social media followers’ heartstrings.
“01.12.22. Don’t forget to pray 🙏🏽 💜,” Lynn captioned the post.
