South African rapper AKA’s last words to his daughter, Kairo Forbes, were revealed by her grandmother, Lynn Forbes, during an interview on The Carol Ofori Podcast. According to Lynn, AKA said, “Daddy’s gonna miss you. I can’t wait for you to be back, and always remember that Daddy loves you.” This was the last time Kairo saw her father before his untimely death. Kairo represented AKA at the 17th edition Metro FM Awards held in Nelspruit, where she accepted his four awards. In her acceptance speech, Lynn and Tony said, “Kiernan, you make us so proud. You were in this very same city in 2011 for your first Metro FM awards. She said, “Kiernan, I am so sorry that you have been robbed of your time with your daughter…I would give anything for Kairo to have more time with you Kiernan. The thought of her asking questions breaks me. What do I do when she misses and needs you?” Zinhle also asked AKA to watch over Kairo and guide her and her partner, Murdah Bongz, as they raise their daughter.
